idk why but when i was younger i was totallyyy one of those girls who was obsessed with the idea of paris lol. iβm no longer obsessed but i do love art museums, trying new foods, sightseeing, traveling in general. when i traveled outside the US for the first time i had just graduated college and was in europe for another reason, but used some savings to visit paris for a few days after and had such an amazing time. this was my view when i stepped out of gare de lyon! itβs nothing special (though i do think the architecture in the city is gorgeous) but the memory is :)
just came back from my first trip to paris here is what i rec as a first timer who fucking crushed it β’ when parisians start speaking to you in french just stare at them like this π and don't say shit
β’ the louvre-adjacent mcdonalds
β’ a thin black scarf
β’ being really brave at the top of the eiffel tower
β’ facetiming my dad on his birthday (if it is my dad's birthday while you're in paris) (nov 10th)
β’ only going to restaurants you will never recover from financially
β’ walking into any nightclub and buying the 12β¬ poppers
β’ accidentally almost saying "bonjour" to the first person you see in your neighborhood back in america (i'm cooked)
i love a good americano. one of the simplest and tastiest variations on coffee. tastes even better in europe with a hand rolled cigarette. cigarette not pictured.
my boyfriend got me the stardew valley cookbook for my birthday and i want to make every single recipe but most of them are soooo complicated like how tf am i supposed to recreate void mayonnaise (the strange bun recipe calls for TWO WHOLE LOBSTERS)
