Sometimes you spin out due to SAD and existential dread, and you need to take the commuter train to your parents’ house in the suburbs but as you ride, everything becomes okay again

Don’t get me wrong , I love a nice roadtrip. In fact, I think they’re needed. However, commutes can happily be replaced by train rides. Choo choo.

either suckin face on the subway or hiding from ex-flames on the boarding platform -- maybe this is about wanting to get to the next phase of my life Also whenever I exhaust myself, I dream of alien visitation. See huge UFOs in the sky while my dad drives us through traffic. I feel overwhelmingly the falseness of reality -- I think this is about how thin consciousness is when I overwork myself

Getting up early for work is terrible, but at least when I’m commuting on the train I get to see the same group of people at my station platform waiting to go to work too. Never talk to each other, but it’s nice to know that they’re there as usual like we’re all in this together, and that the next time I’ll see them will be when I’m coming back home, especially today for the weekend!

In fact they’re working against you, especially women of colour. 84% of Tinder users are men, Bumble’s earnings have gone down hugely since its IPO (thereby further increasing their need to make a profit off subscriptions), Hinge is hiding hot people behind a paywall. People are sick of getting lovebombed and ghosted. But we don’t need them—there’s more to life than apps—and people are beginning to seek connections in person again.
