It’s about time you jump into the world of savory drinks, especially now that’s it’s winter (ish, at least)! [This recipe](https://www.diffordsguide.com/cocktails/recipe/2616/bull-shot) can get you started- I personally like a dash of horseradish in it myself too! Shake it up, serve, picture yourself at the bottom of a ski run by a fire pit, and enjoy!

I celebrated a birthday last month and my girlfriend gifted me a subscription to Shaker & Spoon, which is basically like a Birchbox type of deal that sends you a bunch of cocktail ingredients/recipes for the month and all you need to do is pick up the liquor that the drinks are based around. This month was tequila and the first drink I tried was, to put it eloquently, fire flames. Not only did the recipe include some spicy poblano-agave syrup, but it also had celery soda in it??? Long story short, celery soda slaps.

don’t know if it’s an actual drink but i’ve been making it a bunch since I first improvized it together one day. started when I got a six pack of a hefeweizen that wasn’t great so I decided to zhuzh it up. here’s the recipe - 1.5 shots whiskey - I use whatever I got on hand but it’s been best with whiskeys that have more vanilla/maple syrup notes, sweet not smokey - .5 shot campari/amaro - or other similar spiced aperitif liquor. i’m using a krauterliqor called Karl rn which I don’t even know if it’s available in the US I got it from a family member after they went abroad. anything with notes of clove, black licorice, or slightly herbal to add depth pour both into a frozen glass and swirl to coat the inside - add 1 12oz can of hefeweizen stir gently with a spoon and enjoy. I find it’s smooth with a gentle citrus aftertaste but depth of smokiness and spice.

I don’t believe in ranking things- restaurants, albums, books, movies, athletes anything, top x lists whatever. I think it’s a waste of time honestly. Even with a completely objective criterion what’s the point. Would rather listen to and read people just talk about their favorite things and why they are special and meaningful to them- everyone has their own, interesting reasons. And this is a great place to do that!
