i’m really proud of this record, it has some of my favorite sounds i’ve ever captured on it. i like to think i’m just a goofy guitar goon but this record became more serious than i expected it to be. last year some old wounds were opened up and everything fell out. while writing these songs, i spent a lot of time driving back and forth across the city. after living in over 20 addresses, i feel like my relationship with LA is complex and strange - being surrounded by the past while trying to be present, especially when both can be painful, sad, and confusing. sometimes reality becomes impossible to escape, and everything becomes a search for an answer or an exit.
