That feel unconventional, unplugged, or like I could have found them on a coffee shop bulletin board

It’s difficult to write about these because I don’t really have a real name for them, but I’ve found myself seeking out these vibe videos on YouTube and Instagram. What I mean is a 30second or so video of a shirt on a chair, the wind calmly billowing the sleeves, or a shot of a boat tied to the dock, as it sways on the water. Something about these pointless little slice-of-life videos calm me and provide me with just enough dopamine to keep coming back.

A perfect little window into the past If you don't think it's too morbid (and u enter with curiosity rather than irony), this channel has really cool/weird/sad footage of people reacting to 9/11 in weird places (malls that turned shoppers away, Sears where people watched the news on floor model TVs, bars where customers are offered free drinks) Another good channel is Old Footage Wanted (people giving house tours in the 80s to no one)

Earth and eye - Such a hidden gem on YouTube. most of these Reccs might turn into unknown YouTube vlogs because I am obsessed with YouTube talks lmao. I love how I feel like I’m learning alongside with this diva and she always has this way of framing life in the most gentle and embodied way

It's Ranch. The cap comes off to hold change. Larger compartment in the back. Second pattern I've written and so proud

For over a year I had the "world's tiniest ruggedized phone". I don't remember the brand but I bet you can google it. Regardless, I still found myself using Instagram and Facebook on the tiny little screen 🥲. When they say social media is made to be addictive I fully believe it. App blockers, making my screen grey scale after 6pm, none of it works. I delete the settings, I remove the blocker. The best things I've done for myself that is SO much easier said than done is 1. remove the thing from your life that you're trying to avoid and/or 2. Embrace the thing you're trying to avoid. For me 1. Was a terrible job and 2. Was silence and boredom
