It makes me feel like a Disney princess to say hi to my wiggly puppy Mary (pictured), my cats, and then continue outside to greet the song birds, the crows, and maybe a squirrel, or a cute little mouse (or okay, a rat, I live in the city).
Cats chirping and trilling at me to open the windows for them. Squirrels screaming at me to replenish the earcorn they’ve chewed down to a nub. Mr. Big Crow cawing (loudly and repeatedly) for his black oil sunflower seeds. The windows are open, everyone is fed, and I can now have my peace and listen to the songbirds sing.
give em a nod and greet them with a "Corvid" like thats their name and we're old pals, occasionally apologise for not having a snack for them and dig around in my pocket for any possible shinnies to gift em
will also sit at my window with my cat trash talking shit to the crows nest on the tree outside cause birds are cool but i gotta have my babes back😗
Tim Burton’s finest, this might be the best Batman film… ever? Fantastic cast. Michelle Pfeiffer’s bad bitch Catwoman steals the show. It’s not as self-serious and brooding as the Nolan films, more of an iconic 90s blockbuster that says, come along, let’s have some fun. It’s cool, quirky, and goth, with Christmas vibes woven in. I watched it again last night, so very enjoyable.
You’re almost there. Resist rushing through it. Take your time. Take a break. Keep going. Do it well. Reward yourself. Get that completion dopamine, then enjoy a sweet treat for your efforts (or whatever feels nice to you). Soon you’ll have a body of work. It feels good to see it accumulate.
We get big daddy wolf spiders in Vancouver. I don't really enjoy them in my living space, but I know they do a lot of good with pests, so I kindly capture them and place them in the garden. 🪴
