Ive been playing this album on repeat in my store. I like to think it says, “you know id rather be blasting hip hop, but I want both your grandma AND hip little brother to come in”.
Like lovers rock and rocksteady is the greatest music to me. I don’t know if it’s because I grew up hearing it a lot? (grew up in a predominantly Jamaican church and my dads most played cd was this old gospel reggae compilation) so maybe it gives me this nostalgia. But the bass lines and the melodies and songwriting is such an inspiration to me and I genuienly enjoy the music with all my heart.
