My dad gifted me this CD when I was around 6-7, loved it as a kid (I always listened to it while falling asleep) and then completely forgot about it in my teens.
I rediscovered Pat Metheny at a jazz festival at 20 and now I’m in love again!
i’ve been revisiting the music that my dad would burn onto CDs for road trips when i was little. lots of 80s/90s soft rock and college rock that has absolutely informed my music taste as an adult. this isn’t an exact science but i feel like i can make an argument for the peter gabriel dad to clairo daughter connection.
This one comes to me as a memory, specifically an evening on my childhood while driving through my blue city listening to my mom's nostalgia playlist on her car on the 2000.
