I recently joined a rugby team even though i'm a teeny little thing so i've started lifting and its honestly changed my life. I look forward to the 3 days a week where I go to the gym and just lift weights for like an hour and a half and get a protein shake. plus, every week I go and can see the progress i'm making. Here's to getting stronger!

I got into weight lifting for the same reason I get into most things, which is pure unbridled vanity. I read or heard somewhere in my many biohacker information channels that weight lifting is the most anti-aging form of exercise, especially for women, and so I was like on my way! I wasn’t about to pay some community college bro $100 an hour at my LA Fitness to train me though so I just googled “weight lifting classes near me” and because I live a charmed and bless life I found the fucking coolest independent gym like a mile from my house and have been going there for almost a year. Vanity aside, it just makes you feel so good all the time. I love watching myself get stronger and I love the feeling after you lift something really heavy you thought you could never have lifted and I love all the neighborhood friends I’ve made there, including former PI subject and possibly coolest girl alive Petra Cortright. (Honestly a large part of my social life takes place there?) Anyway everyone over 30 should lift weights, preserve your waning muscle mass and build up your self-esteem babe.

started lifting in addition to my regular running/yoga routine about a year ago and it has completely changed my life. I feel like I have more energy and flexibility, and my relationship to my own body and diet has changed for the better. I wish I would have started 10 years ago!

in a casual no worries way… good for the body mind and spirit My busy feeding baby goats schedule has made getting to the gym hard lately and moving before that means I haven’t been going that regularly for a while now, but I’m glad every time I go :)

Libraries have EVERYTHING and I find it utterly fascinating. Recently, I got an Apple USB Superdrive which allows me to upload my CDs and play DVDs on my Macbook and it has changed my life. Whenever I come across a movie I want to see, I just check it out of my local library and watch it on my laptop. It provides me with the nostalgia of watching movies on DVD as a kid, and you also get all the additional bonuses that come with the disc as well, like interviews and behind-the-scenes.
