I love the Sonic Youth vibes on most of Voyeur's work, but they really stand out to me when they really lean into a super grungy sound. It's cool to see a fresh take on grunge in 2024, which feels like a natural reaction agains the hyper polished and electronic soundscapes of the 2010s.
The song "Look Through You" sounds disgusting (compliment) live. Jake's guitar riff rattles room, filling it with noise, and the "and everything turns to blue" chorus give me the chills every time.
