I know there is a premium version that you can pay for but it is so satisfying to scroll this app and not run into distracting ads. I know it is bound to happen here too but I am just soaking it in.

A friend of mine reminded me of how intrusive and satanic the constant ads on YouTube are these days, and, yeah, he was right. Eliminating the need to watch double ads has made being on the app more enjoyable almost INSTANTLY--especially since I'm on the site all damn day. I guess it comes with YouTube music and stuff as well, but it's really the ad-less experience that makes it worth it.

I love Pinterest but the ads have just gotten so excessive over the last few years. I have an adblocker on my computer, but I’ve been stuck with the ads on mobile… until I started muting every single ad I got last night and suddenly the app just gave up on giving me ads at all. And there are still no ads on my homepage today. So… I think I won?

Gosh this album. I found it recently and can’t pull my head out of it. There is something about Hannah’s melodies that feels classic but so rich and subtle. The production and mouth feel is spot on. Forever a sad boi xxoo

This band means so much to me. Evan Weiss is somehow always genuine but never precious, always smart but never pretentious. I have come back to his catalogue so much over the last decade plus. I remember staring into space on the second story balcony of my first apartment listening to Standards. My now 11 yo was 2 and asleep in the other room. I was a newish dad which isn't really important to loving into it over it but at that time I daydreamed a lot and this band makes me feel like I am going to learn from every mistake. So drink responsibly.
