I love having a word or phrase that I try to hold in mind for the year to come, this upcoming year will be the year of interaction. I feel like this year I spent a lot of time inside, scrolling on whatever feed and going to work, just kinda going through the motions.Instead of just scrolling, I want to interact with people both online and off. I want to collab with more artist and designers, go to art shows, talk to a random person on hike, join a forum. I gotta get outta my head a little

This was one of my new years resolutions: creating more stuff and not being satisfied by simply consuming media, art, coffee etc.
I felt like I was floundering and too caught up with work to really find the time to explore this side. I should also preface this by saying I'm definitely not someone who identifies as a creative person. However, pi.fyi has been a cool way to do this with no risk or fear. Sure, my posts are dumb jokes and it's completely meaningless but it makes me feel alright and it's fun to interact with you freaks.

THE LONGING TO COLLAB AND CREATE WITH OTHER CREATIVE BEINGS IS SO STRONG. so unbelievably tired of robot people that i now find myself shouting out into the abyss of this random website i stumbled across. not knowing if anyone will ever even see this, but i honestly don't care at this point im just over ignoring the gnawing urge whispering (now yelling) at me to put myself out there. despite this whole post reekinggggg of desperation, i swear im someone that has peace in their personal world of creative expression and growth no matter how unideal my circumstances are. im just very aware of the certain limitations that come with isolation and the certain freedoms that come when you push outside comfy ol'reliable, mr.solitary. i believe that collaboration with other creatives is a major key to inspiration, pushing boundaries, raw vulnerability, and elevating self: ingredients that produce truly delicious art.
anyways, if your seeing this and agree with any of it or wanna support my art or wanna talk about cool shi etc. don't hesitate to interact, i swear im a kind person that just has a deep love for all art/creative expression and those who love it too (i say in hopes of not sounding extremely cheesy and creepy) :)

AYEEEEE… i heard about this app on a random reel on instagram, i know absolutely nobody who uses this app but i feel like it’s more productive for me than my traditional doomscrolling..
here are some finds from this app already:
i saw a review for june henry’s new album “infinite money glitch” on this app last night and it’s pretty fire. im thinking of preordering the CD as a little treat for myself to start building up my collection of physical media
i also saw someone say they started recording themselves talking and then they watch it back the next day. i think this may be the next move for me it seems like a good way to get a better understanding of who i am.

i’ve been watching a lot more movies recently and spending a loooootttt of time alone. the next semester is going to start soon so i can’t wait for what that brings me. heres to a new year and hopefully to a new better me. till next time 👋

I’ve been gifted a 5 string bass, and while leading to play I’ve been able to respark my love for discovering music. Don Blackman hearts desire is probably my favorite discovery in this journey of learning bass through tabs. The oddest discovery for me probably has to be juice by lizzo….the bass goes crazy
