Just started catching up on the series again. Fell off the wagon somewhere around 2020 (season 13), and it's just been nice to catch up.
Some major loopholes in the writing so far, but it's been delivering that familiar twinge of sadness and euphoric awe, idk if I'll ever find a love like the one I hold for this show.

I am deep into a rewatch (starting at 2005) and I have convinced a long-time friend to start watching it too, and the brain worms have fully taken hold (again). I am tier listing episodes & seasons as I go and I'm working on tier lists for everything from side characters to sonic screwdriver designs to different variations in the 10th Doctor's outfit. I'm collecting it on DVD so I can watch it on my PS2, put my laptop and phone away, and just WATCH the show without distractions, and the difference in my emotional investment has been incredible.
I don't believe in destiny but I do believe I was put on this earth to make the Quinton Reviews style 50+ hour YouTube video essay retrospective about New Who. My god I have opinions <3

Not just because it holds up as some of the best the show has ever been, but for the nostalgia of the setting. The "modern day" earth episodes were so of their time AT the time that they are perfect little time capsules, it so precisely captured how it looked, how it sounded, how it FELT to live in the UK 20 years ago. All those people who saw aliens crash into big ben, they didnt have twitter to talk about it on, they invited their friends and neighbours round to watch the news about it together... these two seasons make me feel a really true and deep nostalgia like nothing else.
Also too many people skip christopher eccleston, stop doing that

This is what I call it hahahah made by mums everywhere but the greased up version is sold along stalls in Mumbai. Two regular slices of white bread, buttered, and the middle filling is cream cheese with red onions, coriander/cilantro, tomatoes and some minced chillis. All veggies chopped mini cube size so they blend with the cheese. Toasted crispy.
