This composer is working on mapping birdsongs to sheet music. The notes are so fast and complex that the closest way to recreate them is with percussion
Their music exemplifies how the avant-garde need not be aloofly off-putting (though I like plenty of that ilk as well) but can be playful, inviting, dare I say whimsical (since whimsy appears to be a main preoccupation of the PI community) See also: "Dishwasher" by Amy Denio for another example of this Avant-garde but blissful is what I often aim for when composing pieces myself
