I've never really checked out their music before and was compelled to yesterday because someone said Amiture, a band in NYC that I saw on NYE, sounded like them and I was trying to figure out what they sounded like all night. I am kind of always looking for abrasive music with emotional vocal delivery so this hit the right spots.

this album is genuinely fantastic! i would describe it as a screamy alternative rock album, definitely with influences from hardcore, emo, and indie rock. that being said, i think that it is still suuuuper palatable for people who don't tend to listen to music that's as hard as what i listen to 😅 i went to the album release show back in march on the night of its release and the show was MAGICAL! i also saw Zeta open for them and they are also actually so goated. genuinely one of the best shows i've been to in a very long time :P ps- the rest of their discography is also insane plsss give them a listen

A friend of mine recommended this band semi-recently. Was taken aback immediately and have been listening to a bunch of their early catalogue. Hard to beat the creativity of it all, especially in contrast with the rest of the self-seriousness that seeps into the cracks of anything cool.

I saw them at Spiderhouse in Austin sometime last winter at Redbud’s album release show. After watching two average and annoying performances, their sound, energy, and posture was so revitalizing and exciting that I literally wanted to take my clothes off. And, I love an auxiliary percussion section. They've only released singles, but I think they are touring a bit at the moment.

Just because I see a window to get across the street doesn’t mean you don’t have to look both ways. I’ve been on the other side of that though…

I met Erin (@RIOTGRRRL) and Jake (@SLOWDAZZLE) last year after I started using PI.FYI—we organized a meetup before a Jonathan Richman show and immediately clicked over our shared taste in music and similar sensibilities. We started hanging out a lot and had some great times together. I’ve also gotten to know many of their friends, who are all really cool. Erin and Jake started dating a couple of months after the three of us became friends, but our group chat still pops off. Their friendship has meant a lot to me, especially since moving to NYC in 2023, and I really appreciate having them in my life.
