NO WAIT HEAR ME OUT. I read this really great article on math anxiety and how a lot of manifestations of low aptitude and avoidance to math in many people growing up are just early markers of anxiety and anxiety responses. Most of the time it has nothing to do with the actual math but the simultaneous action of fighting off anxiety whilst attempting to solve an equation. I hated math growing up but now in my mid twenties I sort of miss it, I started doing elementary/primary school math questions every week and its kind of so fun to solve something in a safe space and recognise there is no need to be anxious about it because there are 0 stakes.

i've been helping my sister with some of her maths stuff lately since ib exams are coming up and it's... dare i say... fun? it's wild how much math and logic and problem solving feels more like puzzles when you aren't being graded.

the way your brain is wired is so cool. how numbers just make sense and they click and ”feel right”. it seems like you’ve been imbued with a small enchantment

getting giggly over the smallest interactions with someone but also thinking you're so embracing and wanting to be lobotomised... actually this might be an anti rec.

I hate being late to work as much as the next guy but the frenzy panic and adrenaline I feel is not it. I'm gonna be late, the world keeps spinning, take a breath and just chill the heck out. i'll get there when I get there
