I hate to get up early, especially in the winter when it’s cold and dark outside when I have to go to school. But on the other hand, sometimes I love it to watch how the people slowly wake up and the streets get filled with Life. And sometimes there are unusual situations or things happen that you normally don’t see.
This morning I saw two people standing on a lifting platform changing a huge advertising poster. It was a beautiful and unusual sight in the twilight.

I have a routine in the morning as I go to college and it’s made so much more lovely by my everyday observation of this patch of light entering my room in such a lovely manner through the leaves of a neighboring tree.

When I stay up all night into the next morning or wake up just before my alarm and see the light shining through my curtains I get this feeling of like melancholy
Sorts liek ”Damn I gotta get up again“ or “Damn I’m still up?” But also like thinking how pretty the color is and stuff Idk it’s a pretty small thing but I’ve noticed I’d been thinking of it more the last few days but it’s whateves

when you wake up early and see the winter sun at a long sunrise angle,, then realize that being one of a late-rising proclivity, this experience is much less common than observing a sunset with a beer at 7 or 8 pm in mid spring near the 49th parallel. being so rare, it relates itself much closer in my mind to these waning twilight moments, making me feel as if i just had risen from a mid-afternoon many houred nap, then a sense of pre-regret for my insomniac midnight self though it is really only 8:30 in the am...
pic somewhat related i was making fun of people for stopping in the middle of main mall to take pictures with jaw afloor as if they had never seen the end of a diurnal cycle before, for coolness's sake i felt the need to take the position of haughtiness but then about two minutes later succombed to the same fate as these individuals, because it really was a master class in carnation and lilac framed above the recently violently eviscerated bushes and shrubs on the section of university boulevard that rises towards the fountain
