he's my most watched actor logged on letterboxd, my diary milestones were poor things and nosferatu which he was both in. he's just that motherfucking guy. i love that he disappears into a role while also simultaneously i'm cheesing cos i get to see willem dafoe on my screen.

he’s an incredible actor. I haven’t seen a film of his that I didn’t like and most end up on my favourites list. I am slightly biased because I love him but he also just adds to the film in a way that I personally haven’t experienced/seen with other actors. he’s mesmerising. I’ll be so sad when he dies.

he made “halloween“ so he sorta owns the holiday. like duh the dude is the best - it’s not common to have directors that also score their films and that’s part of why he’s so epic. controlling both sound & vision and really sucking you into these weird movies - his genre is so complex too, not straight horror, not quite comedy
i love all his films for different reasons but these are maybe my top 3:
