My ex boyfriend really wanted me to like Sonic Youth. But he was right about so many other things I didn't want him to be right about this too. It wasn't until I heard this song in the French Netflix teen drama Les 7 Vies de Léa that I understood the true awesomeness of Sonic Youth. Speeding down winding french roads in a convertible on the way to audition with your shitty high school punk band is the best way to listen to Sonic Youth. Kim Gordon is lowkey on some fuckshit now but iconic nonetheless.

I became obsessed with this song (and actually the whole album it's on Zou Bisou Bisou including of course its titular track) and it brought me light... sort of my delusional girl Megan Draper moment. I do love 1960s French chansons in general by WOMEN ONLY get out of here SERGE GAINSBOURG 🚫

my favorite ‘60s french pop singer. i found out about her at my high school job, but i didn’t become as much as a fan as i am now until college. i absolutely love this song. her music just makes everything feel so romantic and cinematic. also i am just enamored with the album artwork. the whole album is amazing, definitely worth the listen.

Glow by Alice Pheobe Lou may be one of my top albums oat. So sexy. Smells like spreading vanilla coconut lotion on bath boiled skin. Lots of candles. Fire hazard amount.
