BONUS: It's an unpopular opinion, but I do believe therapy is the best way to escape your toxic, deplorable, and inconsiderate family members.

How long have you been in therapy and does the therapist ever say you don’t need to come in anymore? I love therapy too but I’ve just been thinking about this.

yonearth I've been in therapy since 2017, after I was discharged at a mental health clinic. I needed therapy to cope with my psychosis. Now, I rely on my therapist to talk about my family drama, which contributed to my psychosis.

cristobalforyou amazing that you’re treating your psychosis with therapy! I’ve been in therapy since 2018 but I took a gap of two years and now I’m back and it’s been good. I also have family issues.

Can we talk about how great therapy is? The things I tell that woman bro… and like she will laugh with me when I tell her all the dumb shit I’ve done. And honestly shes low key in my head and always knows what I’m thinking and validates my experiences, it’s great !! 10/10 would recommend… especially if it’s provided by your school!

going to therapy

Been going for a month and this shit hits like nothing else! Shoutout my psychiatrist’s student in training who recommended it! Does she judge me about my recent shr**m usage? Maybe a little. But she’s so cool and reassuring otherwise! I thought my mindset was wrong and i’ve felt so not normal compared to my friends but so far she‘s helped confirm my sentiments! Being validated and listened to is so cool, can’t recommend it enough if youre in a funk
