Mochi

This traditional Japanese snack is one of my all-time favorites. I grew up eating these as my Grandma is from Okinawa, Japan. I love the sweet and sticky rice cake filled with sweet red beans. Every time I eat one of these treats, it brings me back to my childhood going to my grandma's house after school and watching cartoons until my parents picked me up.

Fugetsu-do bakery shop

Best mochi in Los Angeles, no contest. Extremely strong vibes in there, has been family owned and operated since 1903. My favorite is the peanut butter mochi that comes in the unassuming plastic carton (unlike its fancier red bean counterparts that are meticulously decorated and snuggled into ruffled paper cups).

Microplane and olympus xa

Microplaning garlic is amazing but microplaning frozen peaches to make shaved ice peach incredible. I love my little Olympus xa point and shoot camera. Fits in my pocket and perfect for quick snaps that turn out well!

maybe youve heard of the fujifilm x100 also know as the “tik tok” camera but it is for good reason. they have built in colour profiles that mimic film stocks. for a cheaper alternative you could try the fujifilm xt30.
