Every time Spotify‘s algorithm hits a wall in terms of giving me new music, I use this site to look for new releases but I specifically look at artists who‘s music I haven’t heard before or if I’m feeling super experimental I’ll only look Into genres I've never heard of or barely know. I still use Spotify but rate your music is a good website to get recommendations without the algorithm. It does lean more towards metal reccs but if you want things other than that it’s definitely on there.
