This is my first attempt at making a marionette puppet! His head is paper mache and I'm currently sewing his body. When he's finished I want to help him create a painting.
He's for a gallery show concept that I've been thinking about lately. I want to have people create puppets and then to help their puppets create art of their own.
Something about how our art takes on a life of its own once we put it out in the world. The interpretation isn't up to us in the end. But what is within our control is having fun and finding joy in what we make.

i wanted to tackle the idea of making something beautiful out of something deeply painful. i've somewhat lost the fire i had for it, but i still really feel the imagery in my soul.
also built and stretched the canvas all myself!

It's fundamental
I haven't painted in a long while, being a visual artist for so long I just sort of dipped terribly at some point and haven't touched a paintbrush in a ridiculous amount.
Getting my hair done with a few friends today and, seeing one of them working on a piece, decided it was time to shake off the old canvas and brush.

a couple months a story came to me on the bus lol. So I wrote it down in my mini note book.
I started refining the writing and then decided to draw panels to go along with the story. Iām not sure what itās going to turn into but itās been really fun making it...
Itās titled āBeatle and the Starā āļø been fun to work on a project totally for me thatās taking months to complete. its not done yetā¦ but Iāll share it when it is hehe

I highly recommend getting a tamagotchi as an adult. It makes my day to day so much more fun and even convinced one of my coworkers to get one as well
