regain your time. screenzen allows you to create very detailed limits and schedules for your app usage. for example i only let myself open instagram 5 times a day for 5 minutes at a time. I only let myself access podcasts on the weekends (to create more time for quality music listening.) our time and attention is the most valuable thing in the world and its absurd to think our will power is stronger than our phone addictions. once youre free from the distractions you can do anything!!!
omg one of my friends absolutely swears by this app and i have not seen anyone outside of our friend group recommend it. ive kinda been putting off using it so she doesnt get the bragging rights of knowing she influenced me but this might finally be my sign to download it
this app has changed my life it’s the only thing that’s legitimately worked for controlling my screen time
essentially it lets you assign time limits to certain apps, as well as a limit on how many times a day you can open them. for instance, my limits for instagram are ten times a day, for ten minutes at a time.
the apps are locked by default which forces you to be more intentional every time you do open it.
highly recommend, i’ve been using for almost a month and my screen time is down by HALF!!!
screentime but if it it was harder to dismiss and literally forced you to think about why you’re opening your apps. i used it in college while writing my thesis so i wouldn’t procrastinate! i’ve recommended this quite a few times on here and IRL and i think it works for almost every person
i was gazing at a photo of my grandma and was thinking about how stylish she was, and how much i loved how she decorated. i was combing through all the decor i could see in the photo and saw the wall tapestry, and a wave of nostalgia hit me. i decided to try to find a similar one to hang in her honor. per usual ebay was the jackpot

nothing like getting some good quality time with myself and my own thoughts + my higher power. really good ideas come to me during meditation & im making a habit of always saying yes to them.
I live alone in a tiny studio in NYC & I finally got in the habit of programming my mini coffee maker every night so that I wake up to the smell (&sounds) of freshly brewing coffee the next morning... it works in conjunction with my alarm & it brings me so much joy. Just a little modern convenience that gives me the motivation I need to hop out of bed on time & start the day on a caffeinated foot!
