a few years ago, one of my dear friends started hosting a regular movie night. we meet each monday and watch a movie together. they’ve organized a google form for all of us to pick 4-5 movies each year, and then we rotate picks and also rotate who makes dinner.
it’s quickly become one of the highlights of my week, and i’ve gotten to know my friends so much better through their picks. as we’ve kept going, we all get braver in picking weirder, more earnest, more depraved, more vulnerable movies.
