started watching Poldark because of Aiden Turner, and someone on Reddit shared the view that it was a show in which things just happen and they didn't particularly find it interesting enough to continue watching, I thought that was the stupidest thing ever because isn't that what a show is supposed to be, a story where things happened. Well, I recently started watching Outlander, and only now I realize what the Redditor was trying to say. Both the shows set in the 18th century with quite similar conflicts would make you believe that both are one and the same, but unlike Poldark Outlander keeps you hooked with a strong story pace and dramatic conflicts while the issues and plot points in Poldark got repetitive and quite honestly boring.

the only star wars show worth watching tbh. the writing, the production, the acting, everything is impeccable—not just by star wars standards, but in general. seriously, one of the best shows ever. it doesn't rely on fanservicey cameos and cheap easter eggs—it relies on powerful storytelling and thoughtful crafting; substance over spectacle. it's like if star wars were produced by HBO (i still can't believe it's actually d*sney given the lackluster cash grab shit shows they've been producing for the past decade) the way it depicts the banality of evil, the insidious nature of fascism, the ugly sacrifices of a rebellion, and the beautiful power of love and community in such a grounded way with nuance is just *chef's kiss*. this is not your typical family-friendly "good vs evil" star wars story. no jedis, no siths, no lightsabers, but i'm seated. i am simply too seated. and diego luna is hot. adria arjona too. (god i love their chemistry and i'm so emotionally invested in their characters' love story) but seriously, it's a well-written story about oppressed people rebelling against fascism that happens to borrow the universe of a popular franchise. i could talk for hours about andor. go watch andor! you don't have to be a star wars fan to enjoy it, i promise you won't regret it

I fell in love with the first season but I'm not gonna lie the second season at least the first 8 episodes left alot to be desired at least for me I don't even dislike the second season but it feels like a different show and I've only seen universal praise and not a lot if any people agreeing with me so maybe I'm alone on this but it seemed like they have alot of ideas but they don't know what to do with them like they would rather create a bunch of small new mysteries and spend time unraveling those instead of answering nearly any of the larger or overarching questions from the first season or the larger questions raised by the second season maybe these last two episodes clear everything up entirely and it'll change my opinion on the rest of the season but I'm not feeling motivated to sit down and commit to watch the last two episodes but I'm hearing great things so I'll probably watch them later today

I have recently come to realize how meaningless and vain life can sometimes be, like going shopping, why can I afford to spend an insane amount on clothes and food while people on the other side of the world are starving for a piece of bread? Looking at life from a different perspective and realizing that the small things we complain about are nothing compared to what people have to endure in life, makes you grateful for what you have and mindful of what you spend. If you're always complaining about your life then when will you find time to enjoy it? reading this back makes me realize that I am not destined to be a writer. byee
