I think they’re all so good but also pretty much all so crazy that I don’t know if there is really an ideal first one to watch but Mulholland Drive is so incredible and looks so good and just every actor and the way they talk and everything is so good and it’s also more fun in a weird way than most of the other David Lynch movies I’ve seen incredible movie
I couldn't stop myself from mentioning it in my answer even though it's a pretty basic recommendation. But this movie fits the bill perfectly plus it's in my ultimate top 3.
If you enjoy dream-like pacing, unsettling atmosphere that feels very off and almost stressful, characters and events that at first don't seem to make sense yet keep you glued to the screen, then you have to watch it.
It's also beautifully shot - even if you don't like the movie you will appreciate the Silencio scene on its own. Angelo Badalamenti absolutely nailed the whole soundtrack as always.
Mulholland Drive is not a riddle so it can't be "solved". But you will think about this movie for at least next few days - connecting different points, noticing specific things. It's just like waking up from a particularly vivid and intense dream, and keeping it in the back of your head for the rest of the day.
Still can't believe David Lynch is gone
Peaches, plums, nectarines, cherries, etc. It’s mind blowing that something so nice can be naturally occurring Just beautiful fruits (look at these plums) and just so delicious even when they’re not technically in season I could (and do) eat five peaches a day Also peach cobbler! Haven’t heard of it but need to try plum cobbler I feel like that’d be crazy
I got a humidifier at target cause it’s getting dry and that’s something I would typically overlook but for some reason I remembered the spongebob humidifier my parents used to always put in my room and I thought about how many things just for like comfort or health that I stopped doing that were just like everyday things my parents did when I was a kid
for the most part every movie I see, book I read, meal I eat, album I listen to, place I travel to is the greatest thing I’ve ever experienced (Maybe it just means I’m easy to please but I don’t mind because it leads to many enjoyable experiences!)
