Check out Sam Macer’s channel on YouTube. Lots of advice on getting started and often points you towards reputable websites that stock raw ingredients and equipment.
I don’t make music, but for a while I was interested in how it was recorded and produced. I found this channel and learned stuff. I’m sure you’ll get a lot more from it! I think there might be a Getting Started playlist.

They have a diy section with lots of advice for those just starting out. It’s a friendly community. :)
