a list of random movie recs!

I feel like I've been seeing the same 10 movies recommended online over and over again, so here's a few very random movies I've watched in the past few months. Not all of these movies are particularly incredible or the best movies ever made, many aren't even among my personal favorites... but they span decades and sub-genres and are perfect if you, like me, are interested in branching out and seeing what you like! pls drop some of your random recs below!!! :) (also, this is derived from a letterboxd list i have, so feel free to follow me on there or whateverrrrr) Here they are in no particular order, with some general vibe-descriptors: If you like ... Movies: Cool World (1992), available to rent Repo Man (1984), available to rent Tammy and the T-Rex (1994), free on Tubi, Roku, and Pluto TV Something heartwarming in an unexpected way: Tokyo Godfathers (2003) dir. Satoshi Kon, on Amazon Prime, or free on Roku and Pluto TV Gay Yearning: Maurice (1987) dir. James Ivory, free on Tubi Hilarious Women: Shampoo (1975), available to rent Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003), available to rent Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999), unfortunately a little hard to find online but there are ways... Postcards from the Edge (1990), free on Tubi Night is Short, Walk on Girl (2017), on Max That's all I feel like for now lol. i have a few

i have quite a few but the two that came to me off the top of my head are coraline and being john malkovich lol i just love both those movies so much and they always help me feel at least somewhat better when i'm feeling down and i'd say people may consider them a bit weird :)

How i get my groove back

There are a few things I do such as: - Take vitamin D supplements during the gloomier months. My friend has been telling me for years and I finally did it and feel the difference. - Any sliver of sun you see stand in it. Bask in it. We need it. - Check if you’re dehydrated with the skin pinch test. If you fail, then get some electrolytes or coconut water in you. - Go on a walk. Any physical activity to get your dopamine back. - Delete all social media apps on my phone. - A new one I’ve been experimenting with is soundbaths. You can either listen to YouTube videos of it or find a local class. Have tried this for the past few months and I feel reset. - And sometimes you just need a good night out at a rave/concert where the music is so loud you don’t have to talk to anyone, you can disassociate and let the music drown out whatever is on your mind.
