3 women has been in my top 4 for at least a year or so now. Night of the Hunter has been a fave since i saw it and Ginger Snaps and secretary are essential “weird girl” flicks
Also added my recently watched! I love my top 4 right now, Hitchcock and Jarmusch are my favourite directors as you can probably tell. I’ve shown so many people rope it’s probably starting to get annoying. It’s a tough call between Down by law and Strangers in paradise for me but there’s something about the chemistry between Tom Waits, Robert Benigni and John Laurie that exudes comedy noir. Boys in the band and Only lovers left alive were both recommendations from my friends that I ended up adoring. Ill also sneakily link my letterboxd https://boxd.it/6ghrF
Grey Gardens (1975)
3 Women (1977)
SAFE (1995)
Mullholland Drive (2001) * I always have about a dozen films churning in and out of my Lettrboxd rotation but these four have been in my personal top ten list for as long as I can remember.
Go! (Which also constitutes as a Christmas movie), Electrick Children (the first indie movie I ever watched), Green Room (Anton Yelchin my beloved), and Ginger Snaps (I love girls who turn into a beast and tear everything apart 😫). Honorable mentions: Ya No Estoy Aquí (literally killed me but amazing nonetheless), Cube (Saw before Saw), and Tremors (🪱).
because life is more than what you do to pay bills, and no one deserves to feel unsafe and underpaid in a work place (yes i am terrified but it’s okay)
i don’t want to have a “thick skin” about everything, maybe we should all just be nicer to each other. when did we come up with the concept that being sensitive is bad? i’m sensitive and i like it. the world doesn’t have to hit me and i just get back up, maybe i will cry a little bit.
