the absolute diva-off of the year, i felt very much at home watching a bunch of catholics doing what catholics do best: gossiping <3
but in all seriousness this film was brilliant and i enjoyed every single second.
Y'all. Please go watch conclave. Literally the best movie I've watched this year, by far; or at least pretty up there. The plot twist is amazing, but more than that, the whole movie does such an incredible job discussing doubt, religion, and certainty. 4.5/5.
a gorgeous, hopeful, and mysterious film that I know will send self-proclaimed tradcath sedevacantists into a rage 🧘🏻♀️ sure it is a bit reductive and simplistic on Catholic doctrine, politics, and internal power struggles, but perhaps a necessary distillation for the moment we have found ourselves in...loved it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
