i live in savannah, georgia. it was such a delight waking up to snow this morning!! so trippy seeing all the palm trees completely covered in clear ice!
it snowed yesterday and i’m so in awe of how beautiful all the trees and grass are, especially since it was more icy everything looks like it was frozen in place, like the trees have tiny icicles all over them and each blade of grass is individually coated with ice and then when the sun would hit the trees they would sparkle and i wish it would capture better on camera ugh i wish it would snow more in georgia so everything could look like this longer than a day
i live in the deep south and today it snowed 4 inches. this is the most snow i’ve ever seen in my life and it felt like i was living in a whole new world. the peace and serenity the snow brought feels like i stepped into heaven for just a day. the quiet around me as it fell was so so deafening. the snow quieted the whole earth. i know what it means to get this kind of weather, but i wouldn’t let that bother me today. i sat under a small wooden porch and listened to elliott smith’s song angel in the snow while it drifted down around me. i sat down in heaven, just for today.
