the other day someone called my workplace and ended up sharing a hilarious story about olive oil and it reminded me that a good olive oil is worth its weight in at least olives. thank christ the olive oil store is just far away enough from my house to be an inconvenience, so I rarely make it by to spend a monthā€˜s salary on olive blood. I do, however, have two beautiful glass bottles shaped like nude dancers just pleading to be replenished. anything plain is better with a spot of huile d’olive.

I’m sure you’ve seen it, but if it’s been awhile (it had been for me) I recommend a re-watch. My momā€˜s husband had been politicking for its election as our annual x-mas watch for years and I was finally out-voted in its favor this year; I can admit I was wrong. I was near to sobbing by the end and its old-timey-ness did not detract from the incredible writing, pacing, and understanding of the human condition, rendering it - actually - time*less*.
