im taking a wearable art class this semester and our main assignment is to create a wearable art piece. i've loved designing clothing/wearable art since i was very young, and yet i've never really learned how to sew past a simple hand stitch. here's some of my process work in building the pattern pieces!!!

it’s easier than it seems if u get a pattern and take ur time. clothes are constructed in such specific ways that once u know why something does what it does ull be able to find off the rack stuff that you like so much easier just by seeing how it’s built. plus then you can also more easily repair ur stuff! it‘s a crucial skill n it’s wild how many people dont know how what theyre wearing was sewn

just started a new routine where i have to go make myself a tea/coffee before i'm allowed on my phone in the morning. it really makes sure i'm awake and will hopefully help me spend less time doomscrolling, cuz the morning is always the worst time of day for me

i've always found trust to be the biggest breaker of fear. sometimes it's trust that your support system will help you if the fear is too much. sometimes it's trust that you've been here before, and you've already made it out alive.
though i was previously a platform diver and throwing myself off a 10 meter platform multiple times a week made everything else feel a lot easier. i don't recommend that one haha!
