I discovered Surfâs Up by The Beach Boys yesterday. My favorite song is A Day in the Life of a Tree. It doesn't even feel like The Beach Boys, it has a very diverse sound and was made to both rethink the approach of their music and address political and environmental issues that they deemed important to address. Itâs very chilling to hear The Beach Boys, who are most known for telling me to go surfing with them, telling me âDonât go in the waterâ
sharing my favorite beach boys albums today to spread their music to yall after Brian's passing and starting with Pet Sounds, which is probably their most well known album. one of the greatest albums ever made, and very ahead of its time. despite how popular it is now, it was not well received in the US, as it was deemed âweirdâ by a lot of people. my favorites from the album are âGod Only Knowsâ, âI Just Wasn't Made For These Timesâ, and âCaroline, Noâ
Usually spell it âecstacyâ
not too severely wrong but still enough for Spotify to yell at me whenever Iâm trying to listen to Ennio Morriconeâs Ecstasy of Gold from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
