My reasons:
* She wrote “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene” ON THE SAME DAY. That must’ve been one helluva day.
* Her philanthropic works. Just Google them. They are breathtaking in scope and generosity and you’ll never see a camera crew following her around doing “good deeds.”
* Married to the same dude since 1966. “It’s the first marriage for both of us. And the last.”
* 4th of 12 kids. She literally came from nothing. It’s extraordinary.
* She can act. She can sing her ass off. Boss business person. She’s beautiful and has been forever but hasn’t let it become a defining thing, she’s also funny AF and I can’t remember her ever putting a foot wrong.
Simply put: she and Lucille Ball are on my Mt. Rushmore and it’s not debatable.
