I designed and built a 3-legged table from a piece of live edge wood to hold a number of succulents, cacti, and sometimes orchids. I stained the wood onyx, gave it several coats of matte finish to protect it from water, and use primarily white pots to keep it unified and full of contrast to let the plants be the main feature. And I’ve been growing the fiddle leaf fig for years, since it was just a couple feet tall. It now stands taller than me, and just loves this south-facing window.

My neighborhood doesn’t have enough city-designated green space (don’t get me started on our need for trees). But this also means that our neighbors get super creative with carving out spaces for plants to grow and thrive. I’m obsessed with this repurposed clawfoot tub full of flowers. Because why not??

The desk I work from and make all my music at is technically our dining room, and is 3 feet from the couch and 6 feet from the kitchen, but we’re fortunate to have amazing views like this. It smelled amazing at this moment too, so we took the dog for a walk.
