I designed and built a 3-legged table from a piece of live edge wood to hold a number of succulents, cacti, and sometimes orchids. I stained the wood onyx, gave it several coats of matte finish to protect it from water, and use primarily white pots to keep it unified and full of contrast to let the plants be the main feature.
And I’ve been growing the fiddle leaf fig for years, since it was just a couple feet tall. It now stands taller than me, and just loves this south-facing window.
