as a small follow up to my previous recc arctic eggs and my final recc of the evening, i give you tom waits' beautiful bluesy jazz number eggs and sausage (in a cadillac with susan michelson). who knew someone could make "chili in a bowl with burgers and fries" sound so poetically melancholic. thanks tom.
unexpectedly jazzy at times, but also full of 70s rock moments. really obsessed with his spoken word persona (almost iggy pop) on “i’m the coolest” - he’s got range “i never cry” is a perfect almost early rolling stones style ballad. its cool snapshot of a early era of a future legend

i know for a fact that i’m guilty of wanting that dopamine hit of having people see my posts and like them, but i’m trying to change my mentality around that here. i’m finding myself more at peace just posting my recommendations and taking solace that someone might find them in the future and enjoy what i suggest, rather than needing an instant gratification of a like. i feel as though i’m adding a brick to the communal building that is this cool userbase of interesting people.
