I feel this, and you're certainly not alone. Our current society wasn't built on satisfaction and humanity - but productivity and 'success'. It's bullshit, and we all know it, but it won't change overnight.
Satisfaction and fulfillment come in different forms for everyone. Genuinely the happiest woman I know works 9-5, five days a week at a job she hates. I don't know if I'll ever understand how she does it, but I think the secret is internal. If Palestinian children can still play in the streets after all that they've been through, the answer can't possibly be grounded in the physical.
If you really hate the job, don't stop looking for something better. It's never too late to say 'fuck you' and find what makes you happy! You deserve that. If you've found a job that brings you joy, consider yourself lucky. But at the end of the day, I think for most of us, the happiness comes from everything except the job itself.
It's in the interactions you have with the people while you're there. The take-out you treat yourself to once a week. The small time you make on those two days off to do something you love, even if it doesn't 'amount' to anything.
We deserve more, certainly, but we have no choice but to make the best with what we have. We're all in this together, after all.
