i feel like i’ve replied to this ask the same way like 5 times but i cannot stop listening to manning fireworks. and also this time is different because i went to the show at brooklyn bowl in nashville this weekend!! amazing live band, highly recommend catching him and the wind on tour if you can.
i love a little alternative country moment! i really like the tounge-in-cheek, referential lyrics and the kind of dirty guitar tone. lenderman is a great lyricist and musician, and yes, i‘ve got my houseboat docked at the himbo dome. super excited to see him live in january!!
found out about him sometime in august, but with the release of Manning Fireworks, it all just clicked. He has climbed to my top 5 artists this year and the album has been out for less than a month.
i went to loch ness today!! i’ve wanted to go there ever since i was a little kid reading my monsters and cryptids book from the book fair cause i was a freaky little spooky kid. did not see any monsters but i bought a little figurine from the nessie hunter guy in dore :)
