Main characters have places to be and sometimes have to gracefully run a lil bit across the street to get there. I have not seen a single episode of Sex and the City but I know exactly what I mean by this. You probably do too.

sometimes i enjoy a leisurely pace (saunter), sometimes it looks like someone injected adrenaline into my system (speedy). it’s a constant fight between the city/country girl in me; the two can never truly reconcile.

I do not run and I do not rush. I went on a date with a guy to Coney Island once, and to get the train back to the city you have to walk up about four flights of stairs. The guy goes “the train is coming!” He runs up the stairs, I continue to walk, he makes it on the train, the doors close before I get up there. He rides away and I never see him again.

Well loved items are well worn, and well worn items get holes. I’ve always wanted to darn a pair of socks, I think the time has come.

Maybe not Hitchcock’s most well-known but became an instant favorite for me. Great characters, great dialogue, great pacing, and a very good looking apartment. The script is canonically queer, but edited down to not make it known in 1948. But you can still tell, which I think is cool.

French environmentalist artist. Cool stuff. Recently found a French 1999 calendar of their sketches at the Brattle Book Shop, turned it into art for above my couch, 12 square feet can you believe?
