Noticing things during golden hour

Inspired by taking an evening walk and noticing this beautiful purple house in my neighborhood. I’ve lived in the same place for almost 3 years and walked down this street plenty of times but for some reason it stood out today. Sometimes the light just hits in such a way that something I’ve seen several times before looks new/different. I guess this rec is essentially to take the expression of “looking at things in a different light” very literally.

SCRATCHES ON YOUR MATERIAL POSSESSIONS

maybe this is me trying to make myself feel better for dropping my new sunglasses and getting a scratch on one of the lenses
but i was on a beautiful hike with a new friend and having a really good time and seeing the world through different eyes
kind of cool to have physical evidence of that experience
i’ve _lived_ 😎

walking through a place you normally drive by

It can give new perspective on what's actually around you. A lot of the time, the veil of the windshield and fiberglass can keep the outside world as more of a backdrop instead of a lived-in space.
