Some bugs are scary! And some bugs are fun and silly! And which bugs are which completely depends on the person. But when you see a cool fun critter, take the extra minute to look at it, maybe get a photo of it, make your friends look at it if you're with them! Sometimes you can even pick them up for a minute or two, just be careful (and gentle). Here's a caterpillar!!

When is the last time you sat down outside and watched some bugs? Theyโre small and beautiful and make the world go round. Some of my favorite childhood memories include turning over rocks in the desert, looking for centipedes and scorpions with my dad. I highly recommend watching some bugs go about their day; bees and ants are especially enthralling.

Despite my past fears, I have spent the last year leaning to love bugs. Researching bugs and looking for them on my walks and noticing noticing noticing. Things are less scary when they arenโt unknown! The world is more beautiful when you appreciate the things that make it work! To be alive is to be in community with the wild world around us! Bugs are cool!

I used to collect dead caterpillars when I was young. To be honest, I could never find them alive and I used to think this was lame. My dream was to have a butterfly garden, but I refused to buy that infomercial one. Some things are better when they come naturally.
Anyway, my collection of dead bugs consisted of tarantulas, frogs, caterpillar, butterflies, fireflies whose fires had extinguished, and the occasional praying mantis.
I think itโs a kind of no-harm-done approach to bug collection, already finding them dead. They were still cool to look at and I didnโt feel bad about them dying.

It's very easy, you just need a disc drive and some blank discs, which they do still make and sell!! Then you just plug that into your computer and youtube to mp3 any songs you want into the discs, it's a thing of beauty, I'm bringing back making mixtapes for people instead of just playlists xoxo

The faint ticking is really soothing if you can't stand complete silence when you're trying to sleep, especially if it's too cold to have a fan for background noise! Adds a bit of extra coziness too
