your list of concerts attended should be varied. buy a ticket to your local orchestra, play dress up, and go listen to some beautiful music. they usually have a huge range of concerts from mozart and vivaldi to playing the scores of popular movies. support all the arts! not just the visual and popular ones!
I've been to see orchestras play twice recently at the local concert hall. I got my tickets for £5 both times. I put on a nice little outfit and walked through the park and got a glass of wine and sat down with everyone else and experienced awe!! I am new to classical music and I always come out of it with my ears feeling refreshed. Everything I listen to (of all genres) after sitting through a performance or listening to a whole symphony sounds so much more alive
this idea of "you don't owe anyone anything" came about through the social media therapists that try to diagnose complete strangers with a multitude of issues and complexes. all it has done has made selfish people more selfish and divided us as a community. you do not owe everyone everything, but if you consider yourself part of a community, a society, you do owe everyone something. at a base level you owe people kindness, respect (as long as they haven't lost the right to it), and basic human decency. you owe your loved ones even more. stop being selfish and rude in the name of treating your so-called "people pleasing."
