a really interesting format. this books consists of chapter titled with an address, the story in the chapter involves a character and their link to this address, most of the characters from one chapter feature or are linked to characters in other chapters, all chapters feature who is a gay man living in london (or nearby) and is set in a time period in the near-past
each chapter is its own beautiful story with interesting characters and a message to take away

the author has a breath-taking command of language and i enjoyed the endless narrative of the book, with no chapters, only paragraphs, of tangled thoughts that can be taken by themselves but also flow seamlessly into a story with a loose, thoughtful plot and many musings on life
