leaves me wondering, are people actually this mean? this malicious? this evil? is it specifically twitter that brings this out of people; or has twitter conditioned people to be this way, even outside the apps confines. twitter leaves me concerned for the future of humanity.

everything is politics. from vaccines to lgbt matters, politicians have leveraged the things conservative americans don’t understand to stoke fear and confusion. this isn’t anything new. what is new is the algorithms that reenforce those fears. comment sections we’re told to treat like real conversation just flooded with faceless accounts saying their most vile inside thoughts. it’s easy to want to interact and easier to just read it all and be mad. but every second spent engaging is another brain scrambling distraction. these sensationalized posts and comments do nothing for education, understanding, or empathy. even on the left, slacktivism actively hurts the cause. theres an idea that someone who holds ignorant beliefs is *bad* in all politicized fields. but let’s be real, just because uncle jeff is pissed about tuck underwear it doesn’t mean he’s a climate change denier. generalizing people is exactly what politicians want from us. social issues are important and politics aren’t going away from that any time soon. but social media is a slippery slope and i personally refuse to engage. when it bleeds into my real life (ā€parents just WANT their kids to be transā€) i try to engage in conversations that get to the root of the issue. where’s this info coming from, why do you believe that? these are the kind of questions strangers won’t ask them on the internet. misinformation is a sickness that we’re all plagued with. to find some truth and understanding we cannot be having these discussions on platforms like facebook or instagram or twitter. if we do, we’re just giving these tech ceos and politicians what they need: engagement and fear

its insane the use of ai and how prevalent it is fearing for the future as the use of ai becomes more and more common the use of it cannot be justified ! literally so harmful to the environment around us but so many people don't realise it and even if they do they just overlook that actually disgusting behaviour

i genuinely don’t understand the need for an ā€œassistantā€œ in every app now, it reminds me of how social media apps would copy each other to death, fighting to become the most popular one. remember when ig copied snapchat stories, or threads as the new twitter, the new be-real-like feature on ig, etc…?? except it’s even worse with this. people keep tagging freaking grok everywhere for nonsense on twt, there’s meta AI in every meta app, and now idk if they made Siri function with AI tech (i looked it up and there wasn’t a definite answer, but if anyone knows please tell me!!!). my obvious biggest concern is the environment, while the rise of anti-intellectualism is also at bay. i’m also tired of my university profs pushing AI onto me in an effort of trying to seem more modern. genuinely, i don’t think there’s anything that pisses me off more than chatgpt.

usually, i find arrowhead to be subpar, but on the rare condition you find yourself incredibly thirsty; arrowhead is simply the best. that first swig will taste like a swim through the most divine rivers of norway.

an unfortunate necessity. incredibly overrated, though to deny it would be ignorance. the best and only way to deal with this fact of life is to spin it into an optimistic thing, which i absoloutely reccomend you do

one of the worst things. in an ideal world we would be taught how to assasinate internet microcelebrities in our schools.
