I wish I could speak every language to converse with everyone around the world! Thereās something tantalizing about having this ability. Perhaps because deep conversations are a doorway into someoneās upbringing and peopleās cultures, and there is so much joy in hearing someoneās story. In another lifetime, surely I was a polyglot enjoying company from people all around the world!
Knowing another language is awesome. It gives you a slice of omnipotence. Once you become fluent in a language, thereās no translation time in your mind- you donāt have to hear the word and go āoh this means thisā. The word just is- you hear it and it instantly registers. Itās kind of like being able to be in two places at once in your head.
Not gonna lie, itās been awhile since Iāve had a nice warm hug. like a real meaningful one ya know? The type you donāt want to let go itās so comforting. Anyways, thanks Instagram reel for reminding me Iām using you to ignore deep unwanted feelings.
