Because I can only recommend things I have experienced and this has been one of 2024ās good experiences for me. Iāve been surprised at the actual soothing power of this activity. Itās been nice to be able to work and focus on something that is entirely out of interest for anyone else. A conversation between just me and plants growing, and theyāre growing at a pace that feels similar to mine, like really slow. I loved coming back home and sitting outside for 45 minutes just to notice whatās working , whatās not, whoās made progress, who needs what type of attention. Iāve felt very proud of this work and it feels nice to do something that you think is good.
i agree completely with your point re: the slowness of growing plants ! it feels rejuvenating, to break away from instant choices & to have time to think about that result, that flower or new leaf or shoot that grows, while itās processes. so many of our thoughts happen so quickly, from stimulus to end result. plants dgaf about those demands.
has taught me so much about likeā¦faith and patience...& while caring for/harvesting plants, flowers and veggies has its own gradient of reward, this cursory lesson still hits every time imo. If you have access to even a friendās garden or somewhere to sow something you can check back in/care for I recommend it. Not exactly one of those āyour garden is a revolutionary actā types, but I do believe that there is a lot on offer in growing anything, starting with the alchemical-feeling activity of sprouting 1 seed into plant.
Idk plants are just everywhere, like just growing all around us and we donāt really take the time to engage with them but we should cause like, some of them are just being beautiful for our pleasure, and then some of them help grow the foods we eat, and even more of them keep our air clean Touching plants is super neat and makes you feel really good so I highly recommend taking a walk and touching every plant you feel intrigued by or curious about
I love gardening itās so lit.I donāt think gardening itself is relaxing, just because you sweat a lot and itās hard.but watching everything come together and growing is.You donāt always have to plant stuff itās also a lot of fun to just organize it.I Want to start growing cucumber and tomatoes.
Really this is a recommendation for those who didnāt come across ML Buch ās music yet. I think itās a nice recommendation because her sound gives a āuniversalā feeling, yet sheās offering a very personal and intimate experience . The combination of that for me is very precious and well done. Like I genuinely donāt see which type of people could not have a nice time hearing ML Buch music. Itās like a giant hug to someone that has a calming power over your entire being; everybody loves that .Ā
Probably one of my favorite horror movie ever watched, and Iām a fan of this genre which is I think is a pretty difficult one to master . I remember feeling totally invaded by its atmosphere after having watched it, which is a great sensation. I loved the pace, and the precision of everything including the art direction , the music, colors, the acting and the way terror slowly meddles as the movie goes.Ā
Sorry itāll be actually my third super french intervention but I need to talk about Interstellar 555. I recently discovered that some of my super french super close friends have never SEEN THIS MASTERPIECE, which is basically a collaboration between Daft Punk and Kazuhisa Takenouchi , to illustrate their album Discovery released in 2003. Interstellar 555 is a musical animated movie drawn by Leiji Matsumoto that basically uses all the songs from the album to create a 68 minutes science fiction story. Itās brilliant, itās gorgeous, ngl it feels very nostalgic to watch but itās a duty to acknowledge this fundamental art.Ā
