a documentary, but Dear Zachary (2008) is absolutely heartbreaking. The Taste of Cherry (1997) is also so sad but uplifting in a way.

Woah. I Saw dear Zachary in the theater when it came out. Still think about it every week or 2. For me That’s mb truly the closest to “great but refuse to rewatch”.. Glad to learn it hasnt been completely forgotten

A film that just hangs in the air and reminds you about humanity. Sad but in a way only possible with unbelievable empathy

I feel like too many people confuse sad and soul crushing. This movie isn’t sad all the way through and that’s why it‘s even more soul crushing.

I don’t know how niche the movie is, but it is probably the funniest movie I have ever seen. Definitely isn’t much of a think piece but man is it good. I recommend watching the movie with a group of friends and enjoy the chaos
