my friend was visiting and asked me to help her with the merch booth she was working. and it brought me so much joy. in these current horrors, help your friends. you know what other things bring joy to my life? going grocery shopping with my friends. driving people to the airport. reading books beside each other in coffee shops. helping someone find an obscure pepper paste in town. selling shirts at a country show. trying to find an obscure theory book together for book club. sitting on someone's kitchen floor while they do dishes. you can't complain about the lack of community you experience without being apart of your immediate community, the small things happen to be the most fun and rewarding things to be a part of. support your loved ones.

Doesn’t really matter the reason. I’ve had people unexpectedly do this for me when I’ve gone through rough periods and I try to do the same now. like damn that lasagna or whatever meant so much. and when people are really down in the dumps it helps so much to be around people so take em out somewhere. Remind them what life/the world has to offer cause it’s easy to forget.

A therapist told me once that when I was despairing about the world (which is always) to do something small that can make a difference to someone else - she suggested buying a street newspaper, but I will also give money to someone who asks, tip my barista well, bring in my neighbor’s garbage cans, say thank you and mean it.

At my local shop , there is this one shopkeeper who works alot during the weekdays . We compliment and smile at eachother every so often whilst he scans my chocolate and energy drinks. I once went into the shop with a 50 euro note. i only bought food worth maybe 8euros , so i had alot of change. walking home that day i lost the money , it must have fell out of my pockets whilst i took my phone or keys out . I only realised when i got home and was running around my local area following my route trying to see if i could find the money . I went to the shop , queued up again and asked him if anyone handed in any money, he said no and offered to help me search , he pulled this massive unit out from under the cashier to see if the money had fallen below . It wasnt there :( . He walked me home to see if we could find it on the street. Anyways we didnt find it , i was so embarrassed but he now has this recurring bit where he gives me my change in a plastic baggy and makes me zip it into my trouser or coat pocket . I do not even know this mans name and i highly doubt he knows mine . Spread kindness with those in your locality , there is nothing better than catching up with your deli woman or favourite shopkeeper . I love knowing that those who know fairly much nothing about you can care for you , and that you care for them . Peace and love to all

this movie is so beautiful to watch if you like architecture. it's encapsulates what friendship means to build despite circumstances and the cinematography is really beautiful, again if like architecture. The movie is shot in Columbus, Indiana which has a huge cultural significance to modern architecture so it's cool to see those buildings highlighted when people don't think of Indiana as an architectural hub.
